The design of the Alvan Blanch inclined Bed Batch Mixer has proven to be an unbeatable one for the combination of factors it offers.
The Alvan Blanch Mixer is ideal for blending a wide range of dry products of varying densities, including meal, rolled grain, cake, pellets, dried beet pulp, vitamin/mineral premix and proportions of moist product like brewer’s grain. Liquid molasses can be evenly applied in ratios of up to 10%. The Mixer is also suitable for industrial applications, able to handle granular or powdered plastics. Mixers can be fully adapted to suit a range of needs.
The Mixer has a gentle, but rapid action. The conveyor draws the material up the inclined base, towards a segmented agitator. Having passed through the agitator, the material tumbles backwards. Additives are introduced via the low-level intake hopper. The mixed product is discharged from the slide operated spouts.
Unlike with a vertical mixer, separation does not occur during extended mixing time or unloading. Mixing time will range (according to ratio) from five to ten minutes.
Batch Mixer with load Cells
- Handles most materials
- Simple, convenient operation
- Quick batch turnaround
- Compact, low profile design
- Low maintenance – in built reliability
- Extra robust construction for longer life
- Gentle action – avoids damage to product
- Homogeneous mixing – no product separation
Built to Last
Designed for durability, the Mixer’s exterior is constructed of a robust heavy gauge steel. The roller chain and slat conveyor run on cast sprockets mounted on the shaft with sealed bearings. The Mixer has a range of access and safety features; The top of the Mixer is removable, a safety switch ensures that current can be isolated from the motor, and the rear feed hopper is fitted with a safety grid and hinged top designed to retain dust.
Load-Cells: For accurate blending.
Level Control: for combined Roller/Mixer units, to reduce breakage of rolled material during filling. Mixer only runs on signal from level switch to clear material from mill outlet.
Outlets: strap type bag holders, bulk discharge arrangements.
Molasses: dribble bar option.
Pre-wiring: at factory for Mixers and combined Mill/Mix units with Control Panels.
Dust Control: on station extraction with canopies etc.
